Hello! I’m Rowan Starr.
I grew up as a Philadelphian suburbanite. I have been doodling and drawing my entire life, and from the moment screen names became available I self-identified as artist to the world. I’m sure there is a piece of paper somewhere from elementary school that even says I wanted to be an artist when I grew up.
Turns out I followed through! I proceeded to study Illustration at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, graduating with a BFA. I really enjoy drawing and painting, with oils and acrylic holding a special place in my heart!
I’ve been studying the art of tattooing since I was a senior in high school, going to the shop every summer throughout college. My mother has been covered in tattoos ever since I can remember, so you could say she was extra encouraging.
I started tattooing at Infamous Tattoo Inc. in Middletown, Delaware, I couldn’t be more grateful for the ability to follow through with my dreams.
I currently Tattoo out of Inkology NYC. The subject matter I most enjoy tattooing is anything nerd related or nature related! I have been really liking doing anime related tattoos as well. :)
